I put this together as a beginning of the 2nd semester activity for my Algebra 2 classes. I wanted the students to become familiar with graphing using the TI-Nspire calculators, work together in groups, review the function families they had studied and preview the functions that were coming up in the new semester. After they had time to work on the graphs I had each group draw a number and they were responsible for putting their paper under the document camera and presenting their findings. The biggest challenge was discussing the characteristics of the graphs. It was a good lesson and I was pleased with the results.
