Investigating Graphs of Quadratic Functions

This is an introductory activity that I use as a preview to the chapter on graphing quadratics.

I assign the activity before beginning the chapter.

I allow one class period (55 minutes) and assign a follow up punchline worksheet completing tables of values.

I do some work with this but I find the vertex form of the quadratic more defining and easier for the students to grasp.
