General feelings from Algebra for All

I am a 4th-year teacher who teaches grades 7-12 with a minor in Mathematics Education from Northern Michigan University.

Wait Time and More...Why I Became a Teacher

So I must first give credit to my co-worker for the title to my blog, who is also attending the A4A classes. After reading the article, Never Say Anything a Kid Can Say, she had told me that the ideas presented were all things that inspired her to become a teacher. National Day of Writing.....In Mathematics.

Yesterday was the officially declared 'Day of Writing'. On October 8, 2009 the U.S. Senate announced and passed by resolution, that October 20, 2009 would be recognized as the National Day of Writing.



People from all walks of life are encouraged and invited to submit their own personal writings for posting in an online gallery.



As I thought more about it of course my thoughts began to focus on ways writing should be used in the Mathematics classroom.
