Hey Art. Thanks so much. I look forward to using this resource quite a bit in my district (Elko County SD) in Nevada. We are this next year implementing the Algebra I ccss. We just finished the scope and sequence for the district and I think we are ready to go. Take care, friend...Jeff
Hi there. I have been sharing information you posted a while back about the common core and HSCE connections with co-workers. Larry Wyn was very surprised when I mentioned your name. I told him that you are on the A4A site, but he has trouble getting on. His email is lwyn@moisd.org
He would like to hear from you.
Oh - and thanks for all the common core stuff - anything new would be great!
Hello Arthur,
Thanks for the journal post on the importance of using graphing calculators. Even though I have questioned their benefits, I still use them regularly with my lessons. They are the next best thing to compete with my students' interest in their cell phones. I read from your page how NC is using cell phones in the teaching of Algebra. How interesting is that? Funny you should respond to my blog because I found your math book by topic the other day and I would like to use your lesson on recursive notation/functions with my students. I think using their family history to teach this concept is a great idea!
